Reasons Why Upcoming Actresses Get Sexually Harassed- Angela Philips

Famous Nollywood actress Angela Philips has maintained her stands in the movie industry and is not afraid to be heard. She began her journey into the industry when she featured in a soap opera Behind the Clouds.

In an interview with Vanguard, Angela Philips speaks on why most upcoming actress in the industry gets sexually harassed but over the years she has never faced any form of harassment.

She said “I’ve never been sexually harassed. If you go for an audition half naked, what do you expect? Besides, most people are very desperate for movie roles they are willing to do anything to act in a movie. So, it isn’t about being harassed, it is about you. If you set up yourself for harassment you would be harassed. Most upcoming actresses set themselves up for harassment.”

Speaking on when she got into the movie industry, Angela revealed that she does not understand why things turn out the way they are now unlike those days when there was discipline, strictness and ethics.

Born to a Lagosian father and an Imo State-born mother, Angela despite her background never allows that get in the way as she always delivers multi-ethnic roles effortlessly.
